| ASERL |
Virginia Tech is a member of ASERL, the

among most of these libraries, we are able to borrow books and obtain photocopies
without charge from many of the region's great research libraries. |
| VIVA |
Virginia Tech is a member of VIVA, the Virtual
Library of Virginia. Cooperative arrangements among these libraries make
possible many of our library services. |
| VIVA
ILL Guidelines |
VIVA has adopted various guidelines to enhance ILL service among VIVA libraries. |
| UMI Dissertation Publishing |
UMI Dissertation Publishing is a division of ProQuest. The company holds
copies of doctoral dissertations from most American universities. This service
is still frequently referred to simply as UMI (University Microfilms International)
because that company provided the service for several decades. Various searching
and ordering options are available. This may be the only way to acquire
certain dissertations written at some institutions. |
